Upcoming Project!

Hey Party People!

I fell off the face of the earth for a while, rolled around in space, and finally found my way back. By that, I don’t just mean that I left NG for a while, because that’s quite apparent, but I also stopped animating for a while, and nearly altogether.

I wish I had some cool, edgy sob story of a reason why, but no... I just didn’t like working from a desk, and for some ungodly reason couldn’t find a solid mobile animation program/application that could handle making anything other than “fun gifs”, which like... bore me right the hell to sleep would ya? (Jk, they’re actually super fun to make, and I’ll probably make/post some in the future).

BUT....

THOSE DAYS ARE GONE. Clip Studio Paint TO. THE. RESCUE!!!

I realize I’m quite late to the CSP fanboy party, but for some ungodly reason, no matter how many searches I did for iPad animation apps (and let me tell you, I did A LOT), the only things that would come up were the trendy apps like Procreate, which is still Bae for drawing but it’s animation features leave a LOT to be desired, and Rough Animator, which is cool and getting more feature rich over time but it has (in my opinion) a very ugly interface, and I simply can’t imagine making anything worth while in it.

Enter - CSP.

I swear, this app needs SO MUCH more attention than it gets for it’s animation features. Not only is the app basically the best example of a full fledged desktop program on an iPad (fight for for even a close second, I dare you), it’s LOADED with features that make animating while mobile feel incredible. To name a few that I’ve seen get looked over CONSTANTLY by the people of the web, CSPEX allows you to animation on an unlimited timeline, IMPORT AUDIO (this was huge for me), use basic tweens, AND utilize a 2d Camera... ALL IN AN IPAD APP. The fact that no one talks about this is unreal to me, and also the reason why it’s taken me 2 full years to find it.

But, I digress, because this post is not about CSP. No, this post is about my upcoming (title TBA) project that I will be creating 100% on my iPad. *Disclaimer, I’m sure there’s probably an army of people who’ve done this first, but it feels new to me, and I’m excited, so please don’t get on me about being unoriginal.*

DASS IT

This long, seemingly pointless to the passerby, post is what I’m going to use to keep me accountable. Even if only two people read this, I’ll owe it to those two people not to quit on this.

Stay tuned for behind the scenes/progress posts as things go along.

Super excited to be back on NG, and ecstatic to be working on this project. I hope whoever sees it enjoys it as much as I’ll enjoy making it!
